Enemies

Monsters, also known as Enemies, are hostile creatures which attempt to attack the player, coming in many different variations and species.

The Epiphany mod introduces 7 new Monsters into the game as of Wave 5.

Glitched Gaper

The Glitched Gaper is a monster introduced in Wave 3. Glitched Gapers are a glitchy version of the regular Gaper enemies, which can't be encountered normally, but can be spawned by Tarnished Eden, Paper Airplane, or as a payout from the Glitch Machine.
Whenever Tarnished Eden is hit by a non-boss vulnerable enemy, that enemy turns into a Glitched Gaper, keeping its original HP amount and acting like a regular Gaper would. Other enemies touched by the Glitched Gapers will turn into Glitched Gaper themselves, and if the player has Birthright, each spawned Glitched Gaper will be charmed. Tarnished Eden's Birthright also gives them a 10% chance to shoot glitched tears, which will turn enemies hit into Glitched Gapers as well.

Abel

Abel is a boss introduced in Wave 5, as part of Tarnished Cain's unlock process. He can only be encountered by collecting 70 Wheat while holding Sharp Rock as Tainted Cain and offering it within a Sacrifice Room, in which he will be warped to a special room containing Abel.

Sheep

Sheep are enemies spawned by Abel during his fight when unlocking Tarnished Cain. Once spawned, they aimlessly wander around the room, dealing contact damage. When hit with tears, they will fire a wool projectile in a random direction. They are completely immune to damage by tears, but can take damage and be killed by most other sources, most notably Throwing Bag.

Philistine

The Philistines are enemies introduced in Wave 5. They can be fought in Challenge rooms as Tainted Samson, during the process of unlocking Tarnished Samson, as well as having a chance to be encountered with Revolt.
