Coins are pickups that are commonly used as currency in Shops, Machines, and Beggars, among other items and mechanics in the game.
Epiphany introduces 1 new Coin pickup into the game.
Tasty Penny
Tasty Pennies have a 2% chance to replace Pennies and grant 1 coin on pick up. If the player is not at full red health, Tasty Pennies instead heal up to a full red heart. Having no red heart containers will always have it grant a single coin, essentially making them identical to regular Pennies to characters such as 
???.
