Essences

Essences are a new type of consumable introduced in the Epiphany mod, essentially being the Tarnished characters' equivalent to Soul Stones. Most Essences are unlocked by beating Boss Rush and Hush as that Essence's corresponding Tarnished character, though one of them is unlocked in an alternate way.

Essence of Isaac	Reroll.. a part of you	Tarnished Isaac	Removes 1 item of player's choice from their inventory and spawns 3 item pedestals, only one of which can be taken. Spawned item's quality have a chance to be higher or lower than the consumed item's.
Essence of Magdalene	Give you my love!	Tarnished Magdalene	Fires a barrage of Cardiac Arrest shots. Damage of each shot increases as the barrage approaches its end.
Essence of Cain	Find value in refuse	Tarnished Cain	Reseals every chest and fixes every broken slot machine in the room.
Essence of Judas	Pick your poison	Tarnished Judas	Turns up to 2 item pedestals in the room into a choice between an angel and a devil item. Taking one gives the player 2 broken hearts
Essence of Samson	Feel the pain	Tarnished Samson	Deals fake damage a random amount of times from 4 to 7, increasing the player's damage by +0.30 per hit for the rest of the floor.
Essence of Eden	Endearment to entropy	Tarnished Eden	Turns every item in the room into an item that rerolls every room and preserves its quality between rerolls, similar to TR Eden's mechanic.
Essence of The Keeper	Worth its weight in gold	Tarnished Keeper	Transforms every collectible, trinket and pickup into their gold variant as well as applying a Midas Touch effect to all enemies in the room, lowering the player's luck for each one (-2 per item, -1 per trinket, -0.25 per pickup). Essence of The Lost	Ascension or astray	Tarnished Lost	Rerolls every pedestal item in the room and increases their quality, but each item has a 50% chance to disappear.
Bagged Essence	A part of me	Use 20 Essences	Uses the character's associated Essence. If the character doesn't have any Essence associated, it uses a random one.
