Cards

Cards are consumables that can activate a wide variety of effects, ranging from spawning pickups, to stat increases, and much more.

As of Wave 4, Epiphany adds 11 different cards to the game, 10 of which are unlocked via defeating .Ultra Greedier as a specific Tarnished Character, while 1 of them is unlocked via beating a specific challenge.

House Suit Cards

House Suit Cards are the reverse version of the Playing/Suit Cards.

While on the ground these look like .

Queen of Hearts?		Time heals everything	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Magdalene	Spawns a large amount of Broken Heart pickups, each one giving the character a +0.49 Damage boost. This damage up stacks, allowing for a large increase in damage in exchange for reduced max health. At the start of each floor, 1 Broken Heart is removed until Isaac no longer has any of the Broken Hearts that he gained from the card, taking away the damage that was originally granted with it.
Two of Spades?		Key divider	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Judas	Halves the player's keys and increases the player's coins, bombs, and red hearts (not giving additional heart containers) by a third of the original number of keys.
Two of Clubs?		Bomb divider	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Judas	Halves the player's bombs and increases the player's coins, keys, and red hearts (not giving additional heart containers) by a third of the original number of bombs.
Two of Diamonds?		Coin divider	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Judas	Halves the player's coins and increases the player's keys, bombs, and red hearts (not giving additional heart containers) by a third of the original number of coins.
Two of Hearts?		Heart divider	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Judas	Halves the player's red hearts and increases the player's coins, keys, and bombs by a third of the original number of red hearts.

Unus Cards

While on the ground these look like

+1 Card		Again at half	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Eden	Removes the 2 most recent items in the player's inventory and spawns a new item that is one quality level higher than the average quality between the items removed, rounded down. Caps at quality 4.
Reverse Card		No you	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Samson	Temporarily prevents damage and deals it back to the enemies.

Mono Cards

Mono cards are the reverse equivalent of the Unus Cards.

-1 Card		At half again	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Eden	Removes the most recent item collected and adds half that item's quality to the next 2 items encountered. If the removed item's quality was odd, it adds the bigger half to the first item encountered. (If a quality 3 item was removed, it gives +2 and then +1.)
Drawn Card		What was it again?	Complete the challenge NullPointerException	Uses 3 random Cards, Pills, or Active items depending on what the player used last.
Inverse Card		No me	Defeat Ultra Greedier as Tarnished Samson	Temporarily converts damage taken into health recovery and health recovery into damage taken.

Removes the player's quality 0 and 1 items and gives two random stat boosts for each removed item.

Spawns a Tithe Box. Interacting with a Tithe Box consumes 10 coins and increases the chance of encountering an Angel Deal.

Other

Pain in a Box

Portable pain

Take damage 50 times as Samson, Tainted Samson, or Tarnished Samson.

Deals fake damage to the player and gulps their currently held Trinket.

Notes

• Debit Card cannot reroll items for sale in a Devil Deal.
• Due to not technically being a card, Pain in a Box cannot be mimicked by items such as Blank Card.

Trivia

• The voice lines of the House cards are intended to resemble the narrator of The Legend of Bum-bo.
• The Queen of Hearts? card seems to depict Mom.
• Debit Card's description, Life's a shopping spree, is a reference to the song Eternal Shopping Mall, by the American band Nuclear Bubble Wrap.
• A handful of cards in Epiphany are based off of other existing card games.
  • Go to Jail is based off the 'Go Directly to Jail' card from Monopoly, similarly to Get Out Of Jail Free from the base game.
    • ! Card is also technically based off of the ? Card from Monopoly, as is the ? Card from the base game. However, it has the back of the House cards instead of the Chance cards.
  • The Drawn Card, +1 Card, and -1 Card are based off of cards from Uno, similarly to Wild Card.
    • The +1 Card is based off the card of the same name from Uno Flip!, a spin-off of Uno. -1 Card, however, does not exist in any Uno game, and was an original creation for Epiphany.
