Cardiac Arrest
Cardiac Arrest is an active item from the Epiphany mod. This item is 
Tarnished Magdalene's starting item, but it can be unlocked by obtaining all of the character's Completion Marks.
Effect
Using Cardiac Arrest will damage the player for half a heart and fire a big piercing heart tear, granting a temporary damage boost for each enemy hit: +1 for the first one, +0.50 for the second one, and +0.25 for the third one and beyond. Enemies hit will also drop a number of temporary half red hearts (quickly vanishing in 2 seconds): six for the first enemy, less and less for the subsequent.
If a character different from Tarnished Maggy uses it, they will gain the same bleeding bar of her and two bleeding counters.
Notes
- The heart projectile spawned by this item is affected by most tear modifiers.
- Damage taken from Cardiac Arrest counts as hit damage, meaning it can trigger on hit effects of items such as
Old Bandage or 
The Polaroid.
Trivia
- The item's description, "Sheer Heart Attack", is a references to the 1974 album called Sheer Heart Attack, made by the British rock band Queen.
