Chance Cube is an active item from the Epiphany mod. It is unlocked by completing the challenge Overwhelming Odds.
Effects
Chance Cube transforms enemies in the room into a variable number of pickups or items, and triggers an effect which can be positive or negative: the base chance for it is 50%, with an additional 2% chance of triggering a positive effect for each point of Luck the player has.
Possible positive effects:
- Random minor stat increase
- Grant a random Lemegeton wisp
- Spawn a Golden Poop
- Spawn a random pickup
- Reroll a pedestal item (if one if present)
- Convert a pedestal item into several pickups (if one is present, identical to Final Wishes)
- If used in a Shop after defeating Greed or Super Greed, converts it into a regular shop
- Petrify all enemies in the room
- Poison all enemies in the room
- Downgrades all enemies in the room (identical to D10
- Makes a random shop item free (identical to Coupon)
- Reroll all pickups in the room (identical to D20)
- Reseal all opened chests in the room and fixes all broken machines (identical to Essence of Cain)
- Deal 40 damage to all enemies in the room (identical to The Necronomicon)
- Gulp Isaac's currently held trinket
- Turn Isaac's trinket golden
- Reveal the entrance to the Secret Room (if it is nearby)
- If used in an I AM ERROR room, teleports Isaac out
Possible negative effects:
- Random stat decrease
- Spawn 12 Troll Bombs (identical to Anarchist Cookbook)
- Teleports Isaac to the I AM ERROR room
- Turns a pedestal item into a glitched item
- Destroys a pedestal item, causing an explosion
- If it is present, transforms the Greed miniboss into Ultra Greed
- Erases a random shop item
- Transforms all pickups into flies
- Converts all enemies into random champions
- Rerolls all enemies into ones from random other parts of the game
- Spawns extra enemies
- Spawn the Envy miniboss
- Spawn three Clickety Clacks
- Causes Isaac to gulp
Mom's toenail - Deletes the most recent passive item that Isaac picked up
- If in an I AM ERROR room, rerolls all of Isaac's passive items (identical to D4)
- If used in the mirror room in Downpour/Dross, blows it up
Trivia
- Chance Cube was called Story Cube prior to Wave 5, and it was unlocked by defeating
Delirium as 
Tarnished Isaac, having the same effect as 
Empty Deck.
- In Wave 5, Chance Cube transformed all enemies in the room into random pickups or items, with a chance to instead cause a bad effect, including killing the player, via increasing its risk with every use. Risk could then be reduced by using it in the same room as pickups in order to absorb them.
